We always long for breaks in between our busy schedules due to work all year long and when these much needed breaks come, we need to make sure that we make the most out of it. The city itself can be tiring at times so it would be great to escape from it once in a while and I just discovered the perfect place to share to you.
Thunderbird Resorts Rizal is an extraordinary resort located at the Sierra Madre Mountain Range in Binangonan. Imagine how relaxing the location is with surely amazing sceneries to beat. It’s only 45 minutes away from the busy Metro Manila and is very accessible.
The resort is also perfect for commuters because they offer free shuttle services with pick-up points at Marikina, Ever Gotesco Mall, St. Francis Square and Rizal locations from 12 noon to 12 midnight.
We arrived at the pick-up point at St. Francis Square before noon and the van arrived shortly after to pick up guests. Then after less than an hour (the road to the resort itself is actually like going to Baguio with the zigzag turns because it’s atop the hill),

Thunderbird Resort Rizal is definitely the place to be for your out of town trips. I immediately fell in love with the place the moment I step foot in it and I can’t wait to discover more about its magic.
Before we start the day, let me show you to the facilities of the resorts. We first went to the Events Center which is ideal for weddings, conferences, concert, meetings, etc.
It’s huge and has a luxurious feel to it. It’s also a perfect venue for a wedding reception!
Every inch of the resort is just amazing.
We also passed by their famous Fiesta Casino. Cameras aren’t allowed inside but it was an awesome place because it also houses the Cabana Bar where guests can have dinner or drinks while listening to a live band.
Just below the casino is the Zaphira Spa. I can’t wait to have a massage the moment I saw how relaxing the Spa is. We tried out their services before dinner and it was one of the best massage ever, maybe because of the serene environment and very skilled therapists. This is definitely a must-try if you’ll be visiting the resort.
Finally, our room! We have been to a lot of hotels and resorts around the Philippines already and the room is one of the main reasons why we would consider going back to the hotel/resort and recommend it to our friends.
A comfortable room will definitely complete your stay in the resort and it should be like your home away from home, and Thunderbird Rizal’s room is exactly that and more.
The beds are very soft and comfortable, I think they are actually the best bed I’ve ever slept into.
The whole room is spacious and very clean. It’s definitely well-maintained, I can’t say anything bad about it.
Even the closet is big and everything you need for a relaxing stay is provided from extra pillows, bath robes, slippers, towels, etc.
The mini bar is also fully stocked and replenished every day in case you need them.
Their bathroom is also a big big plus! It’s very spacious as well, complete with all the toiletries and towels you need.
There’s a big tub and also a separate shower.
I also noticed a coffee table book which actually contains a lot of interesting wedding inspirations. It’s great because Thunderbird Resorts Rizal also accepts Wedding.
And upon looking over our balcony, there is actually a wedding ceremony that will be held. A very lovely view, indeed!
Who wouldn’t want to wake up with this magical view every morning? Thunderbird Resort Rizal definitely is an extraordinary place to experience the extraordinary. We were already satisfied and the day hasn’t even fully started for us by then.
I can say that our experience here is definitely one of the bests we had.
